Our Table Arts wood products are all handmade in the north of Thailand. They are produced with the by-products of the furniture making industry in the region. The furniture making industry in Thailand is today very controlled, only trees from renewable plantations are allowed to be used in the production.
The 3 varieties of wood used in the creation of our ustensils:
Teak: Tectona Grandis is famous worldwide for its strength and durabilty. It is naturally water resistant and its grain makes it an outstanding material for producing kitchen ustensils.
Rosewood: Dalbergia latifolia is a wood usually used in the production of premium furnitures or even top quality guitars. It posses a very interesting grain and a very intersting smell.
